Messi regains sparkling form; scores brace in Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Jamaica
Lionel Messi displayed sparkling performance in the friendly match between Argentina and Jamaica at a neutral venue in New Jersey’s Red Bull Arena. He scored a brace in the 87th minute of the game as Argentina defeated Jamaica 3-0.
Messi had lost the first scoring chance in the 57th minute when he broke into the box on the left edge, fired a shot which was diverted at the near post.
Messi scored a free kick two minutes later to lift Argentina to 3-0 victory at the end 0f the game.
The first goal was scored by Julian Alvarez in the 13th minute.
The victory elevates Argentina 35 unbeaten matches.
