Mikel Obi announces Super Eagles return
Former Chelsea star and Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has dropped a hint he is ready to return to the Nigeria National team,National Daily learnt.
Mikel who last played for Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia posted a cryptic message on Instagram; a picture of himself in action for Nigeria with the caption, “Can’t Wait”.
The 31-year-old midfielder excused himself from international duty including four 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.
Nigeria’s next major international match is the final 2019 AFCON group qualifying match against Seychelles, scheduled to hold on March 22.
