Mobhad’s baby mama shares how he tried to keep their son safe
Omowunmi, the longtime girlfriend and babymama of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, has mourned the passing of her lover.
Mohbad, 27, died on Tuesday. His family confirmed the rapper’s death in a statement released late Tuesday.
Amid different rumours circulating on social media about Mohbad’s demise, the singer’s wife revealed he lived in constant fear till the end.
Mourning the ‘Feel Good’ crooner, Omowunmi lamented that their son, Liam, is just five months old.
In a post via her Instastory, Wunmi wrote: “He struggled till death, too many pains, threatening, he has always lived with fear, and continuous fights everywhere he goes too, he has never been happy for a whole day.”

She also debunked the reports of him battling mental issues. “He was called a junkie, a mad person, and a mental issue so the public would have another view about him. He’s dead, at least you all won, take your trophy. Y’all made me a widow at 24 years,” Mohbad’s wife wrote.
“Nothing makes him happy no more, even after seeing his baby he became more worried, he is now a family man he doesn’t want anything to happen to us, I was supposed to collect my baby’s passport yesterday so we could process our traveling, he always says to me .. Wunmi pls go for my baby’s sake, I wouldn’t want these people to harm you and him. It will break me, you just go, let me face them myself,” she added.
Taking to her Instagram story, she wrote, “Our son Liam is just 5 months today. Where do I start from?
“Somebody should help me, I can’t do this alone. Our love story was a different one. We fought really hard to be here.
“Ah I don’t wish this type of pain on anyone.”
Meanwhile, Naira Marley and Zinoleesky took to social media to express their sadness over Mohbad’s death.
The music executive shared a heartbroken emoji on Insta-Story, while Zino shared a couple of heartbroken emojis to mourn the deceased.
