NDA: After demanding N200m, bandits kill abducted major
Major Datong, who was kidnapped in the early hours of Tuesday by armed bandits at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna has been found dead, Vanguard and PM News reported.
The bandits initially killed two military officers and kidnapped Datong when they attacked Nigeria’s foremost military university on Tuesday.
They shot Lieutenant Commander Wulah and Flight Lieutenant Okoronkwo while Major Datong is still missing.
The National Daily reported bandits invaded the permanent site of the institution located along Airport Road, Afaka, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 1.00am.
A source said that the hoodlums, who were dressed in military camouflage, shook off the guards and headed for the officers’ quarters of the institution.
Attacks by bandits are rampant around the elite military school.
The Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka where 39 students were abducted by bandits on March 11, 2021, is opposite the NDA.
