Obi berates FG for failure to protect lives, property
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, celebrating Christmas on Sunday with IDPs in Benue State berated the federal government for failing to perform its responsibility of protecting lives and property of Nigerians. He was decried the incidence of Nigerian citizens being forced by violent men to abandon their residence and communities to relocate to IDPs camps. He declared that this must change.
Obi in a tweet on his official twitter handle wrote: Peter Obi @PeterObi “Spent my Christmas day visiting displaced Nigerians in IDP Camps in Benue State. They were forced to abandon their homes due to the perversive insecurity. It is disconcerting that the government is failing in its responsibility to protect her citizens. This must change.” -PO
