Obi’s running mate unveiled

The Labour Party (LP) will today unveil Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as running mate to its presidential candidate,

LP’s presidential candidate Peter Obi will be unveiling his running mate Fiday.

According to party National Chairman Julius Abure, Sen. Datti Baba-Ahmed will be on the joint ticket with the Anambra former governor.

Baba-Ahmed is the proprietor of Baze University, Abuja and Baba-Ahmed University Kano.

Both candidates are former PDP stalwarts.

The unveiling of the vice-presidential candidate was initially slated for Thursday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Abure, said the ceremony was postponed because Obi had his flight to Maiduguri cancelled on Thursday.

He announced that the unveiling of Obi’s running mate is rescheduled for today at the party’s headquarters, Abuja.
