Osun 2022: Gov Oyetola disburses N1.1bn for pension payment
Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State has approved the disbursement N1 billion, as for payment of pension to retired civil servants and serving civil servants in the State. According to a statement by the Head of Service, Dr. Festus Olowogboyega Oyebade, N600 million was disbursed for the payment of retired Primary School teachers and Local Government workers, N500 million was approved for payment of contributory pensions of retired officers of the civil service and Parastatals.
This is coming as the governor prepares for the governorship election in the state later in the year. Governor Oyetola is seeking re-election for a second term.
The state government announced that the selected retirees are to collect their bonds on Thursday, 2nd June, 2022 at the Local Government Service Commission Multipurpose Hall.
The government said that a list of beneficiaries of the approved sum has been pasted on the notice board of the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation, the State’s Pension Bureau, and the Office of the Head of Service.
The workers, both serving and retired, were assured of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s commitment to making their welfare his priority.
