Outrage as police fatally shoots 36-yr-old unarmed black woman
Police has released a shocking footage that shows the moment a white officer fatally shot a 36-year-old black woman in her home after she called 911 to report a suspected intruder.
Sonya Massey was shot in the head at her residence in Illinois, USA on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
The video, released by Illinois State Police on Monday, July 22, shows the moment the tragic incident occurred.
Grayson was indicted last week for first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct. He pleaded not guilty.
Explaining himself to responding police, Grayson said, “She had boiling water and came at me, with boiling water.”
The sheriff’s office fired Grayson, saying he did not “act as trained or in accordance with our standards”.
