Oyegun is the reason APC’s national meetings can’t hold — Party chief
APC’s former Deputy National Publicity Secretary Timi Frank has sent an SOS to President Muhammadu Buhari to rescue the sinking ruling party.
According to Frank in a statement Friday, the party under its current Chairman John Oyegun is not bringing anything to the table to support President Buhari.
The statement came following the announcement by the party publicity secretary Bolaji Abdullahi that the National Executive Committee meeting scheduled for April 24 had been postponed.
Other party leaders Frank appealed to included VP Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu, Ex-VP Atiku Abubakar, and the National Assembly leadership’

The ruling party has been swamped in crisis since 2015, and many political analysts have attributed that to the weakness of President Buhari who has relinquished control to his aides.
But Frank has blamed the postponement of the meetings on the lack of trust by party leaders in the chairman.
He said that what the party needed at the moment is a national leadership that could consult widely before taking decision.
New dates for the national meetings will be announced soon, according to Abdullahi.
