Pa Adebanjo reacts after Atiku clinch PDP ticket (Video)
The leader of the Afenifere group, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, has reacted to the outcome of the PDP presidential primary. In his recent interview with Reuben Abati on Arise News, the elder statesman was asked to speak concerning the reported move by northern leaders and aspirants ahead of Atiku Abubakar’s victory.
Reacting to the development, Pa Adebanjo said, “Do not believe that there is a disconnect between the leadership in the South, the Middle Belt, and their professional political class.” The southern governors are the ones speaking for us in the south, but they are not with us as they also benefit from this constitution. They are not speaking for the masses. No southerner will sit down and watch another region rule us for 16 years. We cannot be dominated by a section of the country for no reason. No way. We shall see if those supporting them will go along with them.
