The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has berated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the extension of the deadline for party to conduct their primaries by six days.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, chided INEC for changing the goalpost in the middle of the game. He asserted that ‘certainty of elections is the bedrock of democracy’.
Ologunagba declared: “The consequences will be grave for the country…
“The bedrock of democracy is certainty of elections and the fact that the rules are clear to every participant; and you cannot shift the goalpost in the middle of the game.”
