Plateau Senator, Gyang condemns killing of Irigwe natives
By Kingsley Chukwuka
The Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Istifanus Gyang (PDP), has condemned the fresh attacks that rocked Irigwe community where five persons were killed last Monday.
The attack which targeted the Nzhwerenvi and Kpara villages left 4 females and 1 male dead.
Reacting to the attack, Sen. Gyang through his Special Assistant on Media, Precious Nyako, said it is disheartening that the attacks and destruction of farm crops on Irigwe land is still persisting, despite assurances by the Special Military Task Force deployed to arrest and stop terror attacks on communities in Plateau and neighboring Kaduna State.
According to him: “I urge the Commander Special Military Tasks Force, Compol Plateau State Command, and other security heads in the State to take advantage of President Buhari’s clear order to Service Chiefs on Tuesday 29/03/22 not to spare anyone illegally carrying AK/47 to deal decisively with the evil men terrorizing Irigwe land and peace-loving communities of Plateau North”, he said.
