The Coalition of Indigenous Youths Nationalities of Plateau State has called for the exclusion of Plateau youths from the upcoming ten-day nationwide protest.
The appeal was made by the State Chairman of the Coalition, Paul Dekete, during a press briefing at the NUJ Press Centre in Jos on Wednesday.
Dekete highlighted the unique challenges and circumstances facing Plateau State, nationwide citing security risks and economic hardship as key reasons for the requested exemption.
We appeal to our national compatriots to exempt Plateau youths from participating in the protest due to the peculiar circumstances and challenges in our state,” he said.
The Coalition emphasized its commitment to maintaining peace and tranquility in Plateau State.
Dekete assured that the group supports the federal government’s efforts towards good governance but called on President Bola Tinubu to address the economic hardships and stabilize the economy nationwide promptly.
