Police invites Omisore over late Adeleke’s assault 3 years ago
The police is questioning Osun former Dep. Gov. Iyiola Omisore over an alleged attack on the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke in the state governorship primary election of the PDP three years ago.
Adeleke had accused Omisore and a former Minister of State for Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan and Sogo Agboola, of beating him up at a hotel where he had gone to meet officials of the PDP sent to conduct the primary.
That led to his defection to the APC where he contested and won Osun West Senatorial seat.

Adeleke died in April, and Omisore was even behind the late senator’s brother that contested and won the senatorial election in July. But the state command of police still invited Omisore to come last Friday and explain his role in the alleged assault.
The politician, however, has yet to respond to the police invitation.
