Police smash kidnapping syndicate, rescue prominent chief at point of kidnap in Delta
The Delta State Police Command at the weekend smashed a kidnapping syndicate, and successfully rescued a prominent chief at the point of kidnap in Ogume, Ndokwa-East Local Government Area, Delta State.
Commander of the special squad, SP Usman Dimka, in a statement, indicated that the police forestalled the kidnapping operation using intelligence from the locals which aided the arrest of the leader of the syndicate, 27-year-old Chukwuemeka Ochu. SP Dimka disclosed that efforts are made for the arrest of other members of the gang.
