Presidency 2023: Lagos APC gathers for signing of Tinubu’s nomination form
Notable stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State earlier in the week gathered at the State secretariat of the party for the signing of the party’s nomination form for the APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Serving and former top government functionaries and dignitaries had gathered at the Lagos State APC Secretariat to sign the APC Presidential aspirant form for the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, an APC presidential aspirant for the 2023 election.
APC leaders in Lagos declared that the “Lagos APC will continue to intensify more efforts across the nation for its sole presidential aspirant not just for having a Lagos bred Nigerian President but one with an enviable track record for unequalled performance.”
the party leaders in the state, maintained that “it was another show of love and a testimony of how wide Asiwaju is accepted.” They assured that “Nigeria will be great again.”
Meanwhile, the southeast is divided over three notable presidential aspirants in the APC, who include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN, Tinubu and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
Prof. Osinbajo had revalidated his membership of the APC in Ogun State, thus, withdrawing his membership from the Lagos APC. Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State had declared his support for Osinbajo. Invariably, while Lagos APC is sponsoring Tinubu, Ogun APC is solidly behind Osinbajo, as Fayemi attempts to hold sway in Ekiti.
