Presidency 2023: Tinubu, Shettima beg Dogara, Babachir Lawal, others
The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kassim SHettima, have begged those APC leaders, who include former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, other party chieftains who are aggrieved with the Muslim-Muslim joint ticket to reason with the party and work together for their victory.
At a meeting at the State House, Abuja, where the APC national chairman, Abdulahi Adamu led Tinubu, Shettima and other party leaders to inform President Muhammadu Buhari of the appointment of Governor Simon Lalong as director general of the party’s presidential campaign organization, Adamu had noted the crisis generated by the Muslim-Muslim ticket in the APC. The APC national chairman disclosed that the party leadership is working hard to resolve the crisis.
Shettima had appealed to the aggrieved members to cooperate with the party, arguing that insecurity does not recognize religious boundaries. He, however, challenged those protesting Muslim-Muslim ticket to show what they have done in their state.
