Presidency 2023: Eyes on Kwankwaso over spoiler game
Some stakeholders in the leading parties in the country are becoming suspicious that the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, could be playing a spoiler game in the 2023 presidential election.
The stakeholders identified Kwankwaso as the fourth big presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election after Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Bola Tinubu of the APC. The stakeholders who observed that the Obi/Kwankwaso merger negotiation would have been stronger against the two dominant parties, expressed concerns that Kwankwaso “is a spoiler”, and “may go with anyone that gives him a good chunk of political deal.”
They insinuated that the NNPP presidential candidate may, towards the peak of the preparations for the presidential election, decide to align with either Atiku or Tinubu, to strengthen one against another.
