Presidency 2023: Wike pays homage to Oba Of Benin
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State on Thursday paid homage to the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, in Benin-City, Edo State, in continuation of his consultations for the 2023 presidential elections.
Governor Wike assured the royal father that he has the prerequisite experience to contain the insecurity crisis in the country if voted President in 2023. The governor attributed the economic woes in Nigeria to the perennial insecurity in the land.
The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, acknowledged Wike’s leadership abilities in Rivers State which he was of the belief could be replicated at the federal level. He noted that the Governor has been doing good works for the people of Rivers State, and this would have enhanced his capacity for the bigger task he is seeking.
