Prudent Energy Handball League to commence on Wednesday
The second phase of the Prudent Energy Handball League commences, Wednesday 26th of September 2018 through to October 7th and it promises to be lit as top clubs in Nigeria make their way to Lagos for hostilities at the Lagos State Sports Commission, Rowe Park Sports Center in Yaba,National Daily learnt.
The first phase of the league which concluded at the National Stadium in Abuja saw Niger United on top of the log men category log standing with 19 points after playing a 11 games, winning 9, drawing 1 and losing 1 respectively.
National Daily gathered that following closely is Kada Stars who played same number of games with the league leaders, are second with 18 points, winning 8 games, drawing two and losing 1 while Safety Shooters slightly follows in third position with 17 points winning 8 games, drawing 1 and losing 3.
In all twelve teams will compete for honours in round robin basis in the men league category in the second phase of the Prudent Energy League.
Unlike the men who play 11 games in all, the women clubs played a total of 9 games against each other and Safety Babes are the leader of the log in phase one of the league with 16 points, winning 8 and just losing one.
