Returnee mum says daughters’ destinies tampered with while she was abroad; throws girls, 7, 5, inside well
After Madam Fola (not real name) found herself back in Nigeria, she concluded there was no way out of her poverty, and the wisest decision to reduce the burden of care is fling her two girls inside a well.
The horror that greeted the deed did not only throw Anjorin street, in the Ibuaje area of Osogbo, into confusion on Monday; Fola lost her mid and coordination, and she was all incoherent when she explained.
Neighbours explained how she reached that conclusion.
Lola first tossed her first daughter,7, in the well, and then her second daughter, 5, at about 2 pm.
She said she discovered that the destinies of her daughters have been tampered with when she was away from home.
Efforts to retrieve the dead children started as soon as the police came, but neither of the kids had been brought up as of the afternoon.
