River state governor sacks chief of staff
Gov. Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has reportedly dismissed his Chief of Staff, Chidi Amadi, and the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Government House, Promise Wosu.
Amadi, until his appointment, was the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Obio Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
According to report, the Rivers Government House Camp Commander had also been reportedly sacked.

As of the time of filing this report, the reason for the sack is yet to be ascertained.
However, the sack might be unconnected with the move by some members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach the state governor and the Leader of the House, Hon. Edison Ehie.
However, it is also possible that Fubara is simply trying to consolidate his power and control over the government. By sacking his chief of staff and other key officials, he is sending a message to his opponents that he is in charge and that he will not tolerate dissent.
