Sales rep docked for allegedly stealing employer’s N4m
A 22- year-old sales representative, Rasheed Adewale, on Tuesday appeared in an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ court for allegedly stealing N4 million belonging to his employer.
The police charged Adewale with theft.
The prosecution counsel, ASP Ade Adebusuyi told the court that between 2018 and Jan .14, 2020, the defendant stole N4 million, being money for bags of sugar and flour belonging to the complainant, Mrs Shakirat Tiamiyu
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 383 and is punishable under Section 390 (6) (9) of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Olaide Hamzat granted the defendant bail in the sum of N2million with two sureties in like sum.
Hamzat adjourned the matter untill May 11, for mention.
