Saraki wishes APC stalwarts defected to PDP
Some chieftains of the APC will start hopping into the PDP, soon.
Former Sen. President Bukola Saraki stated this while featuring on Arise News on Tuesday.
The move will be towards the 2023 general elections.
According to him, bigwigs do not defect at an early stage.
But PDP lost some of its stalwarts—Govs Ben Ayade, Dave Umahi, Bello Matawalle, and others—as early as 2021.
“We are expecting defections from the ruling party. If you follow politics, you will understand that some of the big players don’t defect early; they defect very late in the game; so just keep watching,” Saraki said.
It appear Saraki is merely making a wishful statement because moving late into elections will not guarantee tickets for the bigwigs, especially in party rocked with leadership crisis.
