Max Allegri is in danger of being sacked by Juventus after a disastrous start to the 2022-23 season.

The Bianconeri have won just twice in their first eight games in all competitions and are in eighth place in Serie A.

Last Wednesday they defeated Benfica 2-1 at home, which means they are now without points in their first two Champions League games and are already eliminated.

Here are the five managers reported as possible replacements for Allegri.

Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel is the most high-profile manager available in world football after his shock dismissal from Chelsea in early September.

Tuchel is the coach that most Juventus fans call him – he has the experience and pedigree to be successful at Juve. He also uses a three-back line that would suit a Juventus team well.

However, Juventus rarely appoint coaches who are not Italian and Tuchel may also prove to be too expensive, as Allegri would receive a gross salary of over €40 million.

Roberto De Zerbi

Roberto De Zerbi is perhaps the most promising young Italian coach to have emerged on the scene under the leadership of exciting Sassuolo.

He plays attacking and advanced football and has become known for developing young players such as Gianluca Scamacca, Giacomo Raspadori and Hamed Traore.

However, Juventus may have missed an opportunity to sign De Zerbi as they are negotiating for a replacement for Graham Potter at Brighton.

Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino, like his predecessor at PSG – Tuchel – is currently unemployed.

Pochettino has previously spoken of his admiration for Juventus, but his ancestors come from Turin, so he is happy to take the chance to take over.

However, Pochettino has fallen down on PSG as they have struggled in the Champions League and failed to get the best out of stars Lionel Messi and Neymar.
