Senator Shehu Sani reacts to murder of Deborah in Sokoto state, for alleged blasphemy
It was reported yesterday that a certain girl who goes by the name, Deborah, who is also a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, was murdered by fellow students, for allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Based on that note, the former senator that represented the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Shehu Sani decided to react.
While reacting to the incident, he condemned the killing of the young girl, making it known that the allegations against the deceased should be investigated by Sokoto security agencies. He ended by making it known that the investigation must follow due process.
This is really sad and unfortunate. I don’t see any reason why someone or group of persons should take someone’s life, just because he or she said something. There is law in the country, we must not for any reason take laws into our hands. Those who killed this innocent girl must be fished out and punished accordingly.
