Serena Williams retired from Indian wells due to illness
Serena Williams match against Garbine Muguruza ended early when Williams retired from the match due to an unspecified illness, National Daily gathered.
Williams went up 3-0 in the first set, but went on to lose it 6-3.
During the set break, her trainer came over to check her pulse and blood pressure. Serena returned for the second set but retired after losing the 1st game.
