Sharia court sentences female blogger publishing nudes to school
Sadiya Haruna was one of the liberated youth in the north, and she had been active in the blogosphere until she ran afoul of the law of the land
She was spreading nudes—instead of news.
The Nigerian police had to arrest her, and took her to a Sharia Court sitting at the Kano Hisbah Command following the holy anger that greeted the obscene haram.
Presiding sharia judge Ali Dansaki then sentenced her according to Shariah law.
Sadiya will go back to school—for six months, the judge ruled.
There, at the Islamiyyah School in Darul Hadith, she will be tutored in basic Islamic cultures, under the eagle eye of Hisbah guards.
