Shehu Sani laments leadership failure in Nigeria
A renowned human rights advocate, Senator Shehu Sani, has lamented the magnitude of leadership failure in Nigeria, considering the enormous material and human resources of the country.
Sani declared that the plethora of hazards and underdevelopment of the country amidst surplus resources endowed by nature are not the makings of God.
According to Shehu Sani, @ShehuSani “Where there is water in the Rivers and there is no running water in people’s homes, the problem is not from God.
“Where there is enough Sun light and there’s enough water for the Dams and there’s no power in people’s homes, the Problem is not from God.
“Where there is Arable land and water and there’s no food or affordable food, the problem is not from God.
“Where there are no natural disasters and people are dying or being killed everyday, the problem is not from God.”
Apparently, it is the responsibility of leadership to mobilize the resources, as identified by Sani above, and others, for production, wealth creation, and effective service delivery to improve the standard of living of citizens.
This is exactly what Shehu Sani is questioning – the failure to mobilize Nigeria’s resources for production and service delivery.
This has become apposite as the countdown to the one year anniversary of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) begins.
