Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, to unveil face of Edo 2020 in Benin
The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, will be in Benin, the Edo State capital, today, to unveil the Face of Edo 2020, a tag for the National Sports Festival. The Sports Festival will be hosted in Benin City from March the 22nd to April 1st 2019.
Dare who has been traversing the country since his assumption of office in a bid to move the sector forward with series of activities in that direction, will be in Benin today to be part of the unveiling of the Mascot of the National Sports Festival 2020.
The occasion will be graced by notable personalities including the Governor of the State Mr. Godwin Obaseki alongside notable names in football fraternity in the State. The event that will take place at the banquet hall of the Edo State government house by 4 p.m.
Benin City will also host the match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Benin Republic come next month and it would not be out of place if the Minister undertakes a tour of the sports facilities in the State as he has done in other States.
The last edition of the National Sports Festival took place in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
