Supreme Court upholds the election of Tambuwal
The Supreme Court of Nigeria on Monday upheld the victory of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State in the 2019 governorship election in the state.
The judgment was delivered in the early hours of Monday at a time leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have taken to the streets of Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to protest the judgment of the Supreme Court on the Imo governorship election where the court annulled the election of Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP and declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner after the court created controversial votes to ensure the APC won in Imo.
Meanwhile, the PDP in its official facebook page acknowledged the judgement of the Supreme Court that validated the election of Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto State, congratulating the governor while continuing the protest in Abuja.
