Tambuwal meets Buhari over House crisis
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Abuja met behind closed doors with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dogara and Tambuwal, who came into the presidential villa together in the Speaker’s car, refused to comment on the outcome of their meeting with the president.
Tambuwal, who avoided questions from journalists, however, dismissed the speculation that the meeting discussed the political misunderstanding between the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and the APC national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun.

The meeting, which took place in the president’s office, lasted for about 43 minutes.
There are speculations the meeting was about the wrangling between Dogara and the House’s former appropriation committee chairman, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
Jibrin has accused the Speaker of budget fraud, an allegation Dogara denies.
