The journey of Sobia Shaikh from an ordinary girl to a popular social media influencer
Sobia Shaikh is a woman of many talents. She is a successful Lifestyle Blogger, Social Media Influencer, and Content creator.
She only represents and does business with brands that she likes and believes to advertise the best ones to her followers.
However, Shaikh’s journey to where she now has not been an easy one. She has worked extremely hard. Initially, when she lived in Karachi, Pakistan, she used to work as a fashion model and in an advertising firm simultaneously.
After getting married, Shaikh moved out of Pakistan to San Francisco where she started her own clothing label business.
It was because she had garnered enough knowledge about textiles back in her days of modelling. Moreover, it was a custom handwoven clothing business. After a few years, Shaikh started her own handbag business called ISLY Handbags.
If you’re wondering why the name ISLY, it was because she combined the initials of her two children. However, even though the business was hugely successful, Sobia had to call it quits because of the stress it was causing her.
She started spending more time on her Instagram account and digital space in 2017. This is when she decided to start her own blog, which is currently going great.
“Throughout this time, I stayed in touch with all the people I came across in my line of work and took their advice when each one of them suggested that I would flourish as a lifestyle influencer. I think their support helped me tremendously and I knew I’d found my true calling”, said Sobia.
Sobia mentioned one of the biggest issues she faced in the digital Space Industry. People do not usually consider it serious or worthy of appreciation.
Her work of influencing and blogging is considered a non-serious side job whereas people put a lot of effort into this line of work. “Just one post can take a lot of work.
And when I create my Reels Videos, it takes at least 5-6 hours for one 30 sec. video. But somehow it is perceived as something glamorous and thus almost trivial by a lot of people”, Sobia said.
However, Sobia keeps going despite the negative feedback due to the motivation of her husband and children. They always try to cheer her up when she feels down. Connect with Sobia A Shaikh on her social media platforms to know more about her future content:
