President Bola Tinubu, has arrived in Cotonou, the capital city of Benin Republic to attend the country’s 63rd Independence anniversary.

The President is a distinguished guest of honour during the West African Nation anniversary of independence.

According to report, at 09:22 GMT, Olusegun Adjadi, the minister of foreign affairs for the Benin Republic, and Senior Coordinating Minister Bio Tchane welcomed Tinubu at the Cardinal Bernadin Gantin Gadjehoun International Airport in Cotonou.

The nation’s flag was flown proudly throughout Cotonou, the capital city, and security forces were on patrol.

As the nation celebrates its National Day, the populace is generally ecstatic.

The event is scheduled on Tuesday at Cotonou’s Amazone Square.

Following the celebrations for Independence Day, President Talon and his guest will eat lunch at the presidential palace in Cotonou before President Tinubu departs for the airport to meet with a select group of Nigerians living in the Benin Republic.

After the meeting, President Tinubu is scheduled to leave for Nigeria.
