Tinubu assures National Population Commission of support in conducting national census
President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the National Coordination Committee of the CRVS. President Tinubu, at the launch of the National Geospatial Data Repository, Digital CRVS System and inauguration of the National Coordination Committee of the CRVS at the State House, Abuja, assured the National Population Commission of support in the conduct of the national census.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement noted that the conduct of national census has suffered several postponements.

He spoke at the launch of the National Geospatial Data Repository, Digital CRVS System and Inauguration of the National Coordination Committee of the CRVS.
Nigeria last conducted a census in 2006, with the result putting the population of the country at 140.43 million people. Another census was due in 2016. But it was postponed.
