Tinubu orders immediate payment of deceased soldiers insurance
Some stakeholders in the Nigerian polity attributed the Army Insurance payment to survivors of demised soldiers by President Tinubu to the raging phobia of military coup in Africa.
Apparently, while presidents in some African countries, like Cameroon and Rwanda, resorted to retirement of certain senior army officers, and reorganizing the military, President Tinubu opted for improving the welfare of soldiers in Nigeria.
The president, accordingly, reawaken the dormant insurance policy for the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Many hope that same insurance policy being implemented in the Army would to extended to the Nigerian Police Force, as well.
Tinubu could be on the path to re-engineer the the Nigerian Army so as to strengthen the fight against Boko Haram, ISWAP terrorism, bandits and kidnappers.
