Troops get fresh mandate to destroy remnants of Boko Haram in Sambisa Forest
With the clearance operation at Sambisa forest still ongoing, troops of the 114 Task Force Battalion of 26 Task Force Brigade have been mandated to destroy every remnant of Boko Haram still hibernating in Sambisa forest.
The troops are deployed at the Forward Operation Base Tokombere, Sambisa forest, in Borno State.

The Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division Nigerian Army, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu, visited the troops as part of routine operational responsibility to formations and units under command.
National Daily gathered that he tasked them to “destroy the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hibernating within their area of responsibility.”

Brig Gen Ezugwu also visited the Battalion Headquarters in Bitta and other forward areas including the 121 Task Force Batallion in Pulka and 26 Task Force Brigade Headquarters in Gwoza respectively.
