Tweeps mark 12th anniversary of President Musa Yar’Adua’s death
On May 5th, 2010, Nigeria lost her president, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. The late president died in Aso Rock and was buried in Katsina State, where he had served as governor.
He was president between 2007 and 2010.
On his death anniversary, some Nigerians on Twitter have been paying tribute.
Mohammed Jammal popularly known as White Nigerian tweeted an image of the late president and captioned it thus, “May Allah Grant Him Aljannatu Firdaus. 12 years today, we lost President Yar Adua”
Olayiwonuola tweeted, “On this day 12 years ago (5th of May 2010) Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua died. Baba was one of Nigeria’s greatest leaders. May his soul rest in peace.”
Another tweep, Eserh said, “#5thMay. We miss you a lot. May your gentle soul continue to rest in peace. #Yaradua”
Dan Atim tweeted, “Umaru Musa Yaradua served Nigeria with sincerity. He pursued his 7-point Agenda with zeal. May his soul continue to rest in peace.”
