UBA debunks social media claims on debit cards malfunction
United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc. has reacted to a post on social media claiming that 90 per cent of the customers are complaining that their accounts are being debit to 0 Naira.
The message reads; “If you are using UBA Bank please do not use an ATM to withdraw from the POS machine. There is a general problem right now, 90% of the people are complaining that their accounts are being debited to 0.”
However, to set the record straight, UBA in a short message via its social media channel said; “This message is FALSE. Our debit cards are working across all ATM and POS machines and customers are NOT being erroneously debited.”
“Break the cycle, do not share Fake News.”
