Ukrainian President Zelenskyy begs Putin as Russian forces advance to capital
The second day of Russia’s Vladimir Putin special military operation in Ukraine has seen the invading forces advancing to take the Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital on Friday.
According to BBC, Ukrainian authorities said Russian troops were in the northern district of Kyiv.
Russian armoured vehicles reportedly advanced into the capital city though the northern district.
Ukraine President Zelensky has since addressed the nation and appealed to Putin to stop the assault and consider a ceasefire.
The actor turned president had been seeking dialogue months before Putin finally invaded the neighbouring country.
But Zelenskyy said Putin has never been willing to talk.
