Woman arrested for stealing foodstuff with ‘Juju’
Police have arrested a 27-year-old woman, Kafayat Abdulsalam, for stealing foodstuff with juju. The woman allegedly goes to the market to price the goods, touching them after which they disappear after some minutes.
It was reported that the items were appearing in her house at the Oko Olowo area of Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. She was arrested after several complaints by the traders.
A trader who witnessed the arrest said about N2 million was found on her by men of the ‘A’ Division.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the arrest, denied that money found in her residence was up to N2 million. He said foodstuff were found with the suspect which she displays for sale at her own shop.
