2023: AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina joins presidential race
Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank and former minister of Agriculture, has become the latest Aspirant to buy the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to vie for the All Progressives Congress presidential ticket.
Dr. Akinwunmi is believed to be the preferred candidate of former Nigeria’s president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
On many occasions, Obasanjo had spoken about his desire to have Akinwunmi at the helm of affairs in Nigeria.
Mohammed Saleh, who heads the One Nigeria Group obtained the form on behalf of Adesina at the APC Secretariat in Abuja on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
