2023 Presidency: Deji Adeyanju warns Peter Obi as he clinches Labor party ticket
According to news filtering into the country’s media space, former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi has emerged as the Labor Party’s flag bearer ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
There are indications that renowned business guru and presidential hopeful, Professor Pat Utomi, stepped down for Obi at the Labor Party primary which was held at Asaba, the Delta State capital on Monday, May 30, 2022.
As expected, Peter Obi’s emergence as the opposition party’s presidential standard-bearer has sent many tongues wagging across the country’s political landscape.
Taking to his Twitter handle to react to Obi’s victory, renowned Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju urged the former Anambra governor to be cautious now more than ever.
According to the activist, Obi’s presidential ambition could still be sobotaged by either the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) through moles planted within the Labour Party.
Quite interestingly, Adeyanju’s warning comes amid indications that Obi presidential bid on the platform of the PDP was frustrated to the point that he tendered his resignation letter from the party last week Wednesday.
