Bandits free 27 Kaduna Forestry students, 2 still missing

Twenty-seven of the remaining 29 remaining kidnapped students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State have been released by bandits.

Two students are yet to be accounted for.

Ten of the students were earlier released in two batches after payment of ransom by parents.

Chairman of the Concerned Afaka Parents, Malam Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the release of the students on Wednesday.

Usman said the release of the remaining students was facilitated by the Sheikh Abubakar Gumi dialogue committee.

Recall that 37 students were abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka on March 11, 2021.
