Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang voted Bundesliga player of the year
Borussia Dortmund’s Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been voted Bundesliga Player of the Year. The German player’s union (VDV) named him the best player ahead of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and club teammate Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The 26-year-old, who got 19.7 percent, Lewandowski had 19.5 and Henrikh Mkhitaryan has 12.6% of votes.
Aubameyang finished the season with 25 in the Bundesliga, Lewandowski finished with 30 goals.

Aubameyang, who was named African Footballer of the Year in January, helped his side finish runners-up to Bayern. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been honoured by his fellow pros.
The Gabon international, Lewandowski and Mkhitaryan were also included in the Bundesliga team of the season.
