NAF bombs out 45 leaders, bandits in Zamfara forest
In an air raid on the hideout of bandits holed up in Zamfara forest, the Nigerian Air Force has neutralized no fewer than 45 bandits.
Among them were three kingpins behind armed banditry at Kuyanbana forests in the state.
The commanders, including Habu Nabayye, Isuhu Sadi and Murtala Danmaje, were gathering around the area before the strike.
The sustained offensive by the military have pushed back the criminals, according to villagers.
In Niger, the air and ground assets of Operation Gama Aiki (OPGA) recorded a similar success with the Augusta Westland and Eurocopter gunships that conducted the onslaught.
A similar operation, according to military authorities, was carried out last week in Niger State by the air and ground components of Operation Gama Aiki (OPGA).
