Obaseki warns against undermining his leadership of Edo PDP
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State at an expanded caucus meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benin City, warned party members against undermining his leadership of the PDP in the state. He declared that he will not leave the party for anybody. He stated the need for membership harmonization in the party to accommodate all members since the defection of some All Progressives Congress (APC) members to the PDP with the governor.
Governor Obaseki promised party members of his commitment to the enhancement and strengthening of the PDP in Edo State, South-South Nigeria. he cautioned those “trying to cause crisis” in the state PDP to retract their steps.
Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu also narrated the peculiar challenges members who defected with Governor Obaseki from the APC before the 2020 governorship election have been facing over the years. He aligned with Governor Obaseki on the need to move the state arty forward.
