52-year-old businesswoman arraigned for stealing cement blocks
52-year-old businesswoman, Felicia Ogundipe, was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing 400 cement blocks worth N120, 000.
The police charged Ogundipe whose residential address was not provided with conspiracy, theft, malicious damage and threat to life.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Sikiru Ibrahim, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Feb. 2, at about 9 a.m, in Golodo village.
He said the defendant and others at large, stole 400 blocks worth N120, 000, belonging to the complainant, Mr Olukemi Oyebade.
Ibrahim also said the defendant damaged the landed property of the complainant and threatened violence.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 516, 451, 86(1) and 390(9) of the criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate S. A Adesina admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100, 000 and two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until May 16, for hearing.
