Obinyan reacts as a man who claims to be Obi’s suppoter threatens to kill Igbos that support Tinubu
Jack Obinyan former SSA to Edo state governor on new media at Edo state government house and a strong supporter of Mr. Peter Obi presidential candidate of labour party, has taken to his official Facebook page to react as Austine Nwabufo who claims to be Peter Obi’s supporter threatens to kill any Igbo man or woman who is supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
Austine Nwabufo who claims to be Peter Obi’s supporter by using obi’s labour party logo as his Twitter profile picture, while reacting to one of @ShehuSani’s tweets wrote
“Jagaban go see nwii I saw, and any Igbo man or woman who comes to Jagaban from the East and tells him that he is routing for him, Jagaban should tell that Igboman to 1st pastes his poster infront of his door, obviously that person and his entire family will leave this earth”.
However, Jack Obinyan being a strong supporter of Mr. Peter Obi when reacting to this condemned this Austine Nwabufo’s tweet, by telling him that Nigeria is a democratic country and as such everybody has an equal right to vote for any candidate of his or her choice.
Mr. Jack speaking further tells him that he has no right to issue any threat to anybody for any reason whatsoever and that for Peter Obi’s supporters their mission is singular, and it is to use their PVCs to give birth to a new Nigeria.
Just as Mr. Jack rightfully said Austine Nwabufo should know that we are in a democracy and as such has no right to threaten anybody’s life just because he or she is not supporting his preferred candidate.
However, We must all try to respect other people’s fundamental human rights by creating an enabling environment that allows everybody to vote for his or her preferred candidate, as that will allow us to elect a credible candidate that will make our country Nigeria a better place of living.
