Amotekun intercepts northern truck carrying 140 men to Lagos, Ogun
The Oyo branch of Amotekun intercepted a truckload of migrants apparently heading for Lagos or Ogun around Bodija, Ibadan, on Tuesday
According to the security network, no fewer than 140 men were on board before residents raised the alarm, and the operatives tailed them.
According to reports, some of the passengers jumped down on sighting the operatives, and ran away, making their move more suspect, concerning the widespread insecurity across the nation.
The truck came from Zamfara, where bandits have killed and displaced many.
The Amotekun corps and other security agencies are searching the intercepted truck to ascertain their mission.
The migrants might be sent back, too, according to sources.
